Sue was drawn to yoga when she began seeking out a place to develop her spirituality and sense of community. In addition to taping into the spiritual aspect of her yoga practice, Sue discovered the benefits of her yoga practice included a vigorous physical workout and a clear and balanced mind.
As an attorney and an officer in the Judge Advocate General Corp (JAG) in the U.S. Army Reserves, she experienced the effects of PTSD after returning from the Gulf War in 1991. Yoga was instrumental in her recovery from PTSD and her ability to handle a second deployment to Kosovo in 2005.
Sue is the Executive Director of There & Back Again, a reintegration program for veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. She received her 200 hour yoga certification from Finding Inner Peace. Sue also studies with Arthury Kilmurray (www.mysticriveryoga.com), Annie Hoffman (www.artsoulyoga.com). She has received training in Integral Yoga Therapy with Joseph Le Page and iRest (level 1) with Richard Miller.
