Judy Foster

“We practice yoga not to change the inflexibility of our bodies but to change the inflexibilities of our mind.”
B K S Iyengar.

Judy began practicing yoga in 2001 as a way to “get in shape”. She soon discovered that asana practice begins at the physical level but penetrates to the innermost core.

In 2005, Judy became certified as a Jivamukti Yoga Instructor, a 300 hour vinyasa flow yoga with a heavy emphasis on sequencing, sanskrit and yoga philosophy. She is currently influenced by Patricia Walden, a senior Iyengar yoga teacher based in Cambridge.

Judy’s classes contain a flowing sequence of poses for all levels. Each class focuses on anatomical alignment as well as the philosophical teachings of yoga. Judy hopes each student leaves the class with a more flexible body but more importantly, a more flexible mind.
